And Then it Was July.

So where the hell have I been? I need a recap too.

• The last time I posted was just before Memorial Day Weekend.

• We spent that weekend working on the house & hanging out with Grandad & my dad.

  • We did that most weekends.

  • & weekdays.

• I worked part-time at a local youth charity called Wellventions. It included a lot of volunteer work. I taught teenagers how to cook. It was awesome. Except for one little thing.

• May 31 - Ken & Gunter & I went to a sweet new-wave cover band night at Water Street Music Hall. It was awesome.

• We spent that weekend working on the house & hanging out with Grandad & my dad.

• I resigned from Wellventions in early June because the CEO verbally & emotionally abused the students. I wrote a big long letter to the board of directors, detailing her constant digs & prejudices against them.

• Telly & I flew to LA to see some friends for Telly's birthday. Also, Telly attended the booth for her charity group Badass at Hellmouthcon in Torrance.

  • I got to see Barth, Hooves, Leanne, Melody, Alissa, Eleanor, Barry, Battlecat, Sophie, Rhi, Kelly, Remy & a bunch of Telly's friends.

  • I finally got to meet Michael & Ana! Evan was fantastic & he's got a great family.

    • Michael reminds me of me.

• I still cook live on Mondays & Thursdays consistently. 6pm start. 6:15 actual start.

• I "learned" streamlabs & it was an absolute disaster. I bought Ultra, I clicked the beginner's links to get started, which led me to the freshest instructions from 2023.

  • Most of the information in the tutorials didn't apply.

  • I spent a long time trying to set it up, reading tutorials, watching tutorials-- but they lie. Like, I don't have the buttons they have.

  • A Fresh out of the box software you pay for shouldn't require days of troubleshooting just to get it to work at a basic level. Multistreaming was a mess.

• We spent that weekend working on the house & hanging out with Grandad & my dad.

• I play D&D every other Sunday now with Eli, Gwen & David. I'm a rock gnome necromancer named Macaroni Jackson. Level 4.

• Jazzfest happened but Telly & I didn't get to it. We watched Sophie for Pam while she went to a bunch of shows. That's why we love being here. To help.

• I passed my NYS Kitchen Manager Certification. Now I just need a bunch of other stuff.

  • I don't need to acquire a vendor's license because I'm a veteran. That's pretty cool.

• The Union's looking for a kitchen manager. I'm skeptical.

• We spent that weekend working on the house & hanging out with Grandad & my dad.

• We finished working on the house!!!

  • For the most part. We just have to finish & cure the new wood floors.

• Mike & Kelsey came to visit with Char & Rory. Very fun.

  • We went to Seabreeze :)

  • I went to Lucas's high school graduation party! It was so fun. Brenda & Jenn are my sisters for life.

• We hung out at our home for most of July 4th weekend. It's the first time we didn't have house renovations demanding immediate attention in over a year.

• IN OVER A YEAR!!!

• Our home is almost as beautiful as the lady who built it. It feels so good.

• I have a live stream tonight. Some kind of risotto I presume.

• Oh, also probably no one will ever see this because I'm changing my website around.
